The Computer Information Center (CompInfo) does not collect information on individuallly identified visitors to http://www.compinfo-center.com ("the site"), unless that information has been voluntarily submitted by the visitor to the site when filling in a form.
This policy only affects this site, and may be different on other sites to which you may link from CompInfo. We are not in any way responsible for the privacy practices or content on those sites.
Your IP address is used in the logging of traffic to our site, so that we can adminster the site, and, based on traffic flows, adjust the content of the site. This IP address does not hold your personal details. Our site logs help us (a) understand what parts of our site are visited, and the frequency of visits and (b) provide audit information to our advertisers, so that they can see the total number of people who view their advertisments. This audit process is carried out by external bodies and individual IP information is not provided to the advertisers.
If you register for our email newsletters, you will be asked to give us information about yourself, including your name, email address and country, together with (obviously) the specific topics for which you wish to be notified through our email newsletter service. Other information is optional.
This information is used to email you information from time to time, which may be general IT information or relate to the specific topic(s) you have selected, and may include, amongst others, IT news items, details of events, changes to the CompInfo site, new products and upgrades to existing products, books, white papers, etc. We may also notify you of special offers from computer manufacturers, etc.
